Work the night board.

ModestGram was founded in 2026. We hire people who have stood a cold shift, or who can build the record that shift needs. The work is rooms, reefers, quarantine slips, and the pass-down. Apply only to support@modestgram.com.

Full-time · Remote

Hold-rule editor

You sit with the way a supervisor names a limit: a frozen ceiling, a chilled band, and how many minutes outside that band open a slip. You turn that into a rule the board can apply to a room without hiding the reading. You write the words the clerk sees when the slip opens, and the words the morning sees on the pass-down.

You have worked a cold store, a fleet desk, or a quality bench. You can say no to a rule that releases a lot because the probe came back into range. Samples of a procedure you simplified are welcome in the mail.

Probe integration engineer

You parse room-logger exports and reefer return-air feeds. You care about clock skew, a probe that repeats its last value, and a unit number that does not match the dispatch sheet. You ship a reader only after a sample night lines up with the exceedance the slip will store.

You are comfortable telling a desk that a feed is not ready. You do not paper over a gap with a smoothed average. Write with the recorder names you have already parsed, and say which fields you would map to a limit, a reading, and a time.

Full-time · Hybrid

Dock correspondent

You answer shift supervisors and dispatchers while their night is still going. Hybrid means some weeks beside a subscriber's dock, arranged with that desk, and the rest of the month remote. ModestGram does not list an office of its own. You write clearly at 02:00.

You do not invent a release over the phone. A release is a signature on the slip, by the supervisor named on the roster. If you have covered a night desk, say which decisions you were allowed to make and which ones you had to leave for the person on the floor.

Slip language editor

You keep the quarantine slip and the pass-down in sentences a driver can sign and a morning supervisor can follow. You edit the API error text so lot_already_held is explained the way a clerk would say it at the cage. You prefer a concrete noun to a slogan.

Send two short before-and-after samples: a muddy hold note, and the same note after you edited it. Do not send a password, a live lot file, or a signature image.
