Cold-hold subscription

The shift board for rooms and reefers that left their limit.

ModestGram is for the cold-storage shift supervisor and the dispatcher who sends the refrigerated trucks. When a room or a trailer goes out of range, the clerk opens one quarantine slip. The driver accepts or refuses that same slip at the gate. The next name on the roster reads what is still isolated, and who signed.

Night handing over 22 October 2026

Time on the left. A person or a unit on the row.

  1. N. Hale, night clerk

Takes the desk. Room B2 and the arrival lane are the rows on this shift.

  2. Room B2, probe 4

Reading -16.2°C against a -18.0°C ceiling. Lot BR-2291, frozen mixed berries. Slip Q-184 opened.

  3. Reefer 441

At the gate on the arrival window. Driver signature on Q-184 is still empty.

  4. N. Hale, night clerk

Leaves the berries in Cage 2. Names M. Ortiz for the 06:00 handoff. Does not release the lot.

  5. M. Ortiz, incoming supervisor

Reads the pass-down. Q-184 stays on hold until a driver signs and a supervisor releases it.

Exception queue

Holds still open

Supervisors work this queue before they walk the floor. Dispatchers work it when the row that left its limit is a truck. Each line is a lot that is not cleared.

  • Hold

    Q-184, Room B2

Lot BR-2291, frozen mixed berries, 18 pallets in Cage 2, rows 4 through 6. Probe 4 was 1.8°C past the frozen ceiling at 00:10. The driver on Reefer 441 has not signed.

  • Refused

    Q-179, Reefer 318

Lot PK-104, pork primals. Return air sat at -12°C against a -18°C ceiling. The driver refused the seal. Those pallets left the yard. The dispatcher keeps the slip so the delivery is not marked clean.

  • Awaiting release

    Q-176, Room A1

Lot CH-88, cheese wheels. The door was open for a count, then the probe returned inside the band. The clerk signed the reading. A supervisor still has to sign the release. Coming back into range is not a release.

Document in process

Slip Q-184 is still open

The clerk writes this during the shift. The driver signs the same sheet at the dock. Nobody retypes it onto a second form in the morning.

One slip follows the lot. A refused seal stays on the record so the room count and the fleet desk tell the same story.

Priced by the shift

Rates per staffed shift

You subscribe to the shifts you actually put on the board. A dark room is not a shift. ModestGram does not sell a bundle named for company size, and it does not meter by the pallet.

Room shift

$46 per staffed shift

One cold room and the clerk on that row. Exceedances, the quarantine slip, and the cage the lot sits in.

Arrival shift

$72 per staffed shift

The dispatcher and the driver at the gate. The same slip gains an accept or a refuse. No second form.

Pass-down shift

$38 per staffed shift

Outgoing and incoming supervisors. A release signature, or a written hold that carries to the next name.

Amounts are in USD and are billed monthly for shifts that started. Cancel a shift before it starts and it is not invoiced. A refused trailer costs more than a month of arrival shifts. The rate is the shift, not a cut of the load. To put a desk on the board, write below.

Handover

Pass-down at 06:00

The dangerous minute is the doorway between shifts. ModestGram keeps one written handover so the morning does not release a cage from memory.

Still held
Q-184, berries, Cage 2, rows 4 through 6. Do not release. The driver on Reefer 441 has not signed.
Refused
Q-179, pork on Reefer 318, left the yard. The seal was refused. Do not expect those pallets in the room.
Back in range
Q-176, cheese in Room A1, is inside the band again. Release it only if you sign the slip yourself.
Equipment
Probe 4 battery was swapped at 03:20. The next swap is not due this morning. A blank reading is not a cold room.
Keys
Cage 2 keys are on the night hook.

Tell us who you are on a roster, which room or reefer you cover, and what the next slip should remember. The only address we answer from is support@modestgram.com.

A note here does not isolate a lot. If a probe is out of range now, open the slip in the product.
